We Talk Photo Podcast Interview

A casual phone call earlier this week became an on-the-spot decision to record a podcast episode with friends Jack Graham and John Pedersen. Tune in to hear my thoughts about the book I’m currently working on and a few other philosophical tidbits. I hope you enjoy it!

Watch on YouTube, or listen to the audio at We Talk Photo.

* A couple of minor corrections: embarrassingly, I misremembered the (recently-decided) title of my own upcoming book (the correct title is Be Extraordinary), as well as the book I mentioned by Rainer Maria Rilke, which is Letters to a Young Poet (not artist), and the book by Rollo May, which is titled The Courage to Create.

  1. Wow. I’m really looking forward to this next book. In the meantime, I’m going to have to start reading up on existentialism. When I was majoring in philosophy at UVa in the 70’s, it was not taught for some reason. Looks like I’ve been missing out! Great interview. Thanks.

    1. Thank you, Tom! If you’re looking for a recommendation, Walter Kaufmann’s book, Existentialism From Dostoevsky to Sartre is a great summary. Kaufmann is a good philosopher himself, and one of the most highly regarded translators of various philosophical writings (especially Nietzsche).
