AMA: Next Book, New Offerings (And Other Updates)

Writing a book is a long, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand.

Shortly after inviting readers to ask me anything, two of the first responses inquired about the state of my next book. Here’s the latest: I am dedicating the next two weeks to finishing the final round of edits. I’m currently almost exactly 1/3 of the way through the text, and confident I’ll be done on schedule to publish the book later this year.

Why is it taking so long? Regrettably, it’s the same reason my Photoshop book was late to press: I’ve been struggling with some health issues in the past few years that on occasion make it difficult or impossible to focus on writing. It’s also the reason I have scaled back my public speaking engagements. As of a couple of months ago, things are improving with new treatment and I hope to return to a more productive schedule in the coming weeks.

I am working new writings in the hope of increasing my post volume on this blog during these times of social-distancing, as well as an entirely new offering to be announced soon. Other than my contributions to subscription-based publications, I intend to make all most new content available to the public and free of advertising.
